I'm not talking about the graphics when I mean enhancements, I mean the movies and the ability to run. That's right! You can run! Watch Cecil sprint! Put sprint shoes on Celes and mega run! Butz and the thief ability to sprint super speed also! The movies are awe-inspiriring! Especially FFVI's finale!
Graphics: 10/10 - I grew up on these graphics, and I prefer them over these polygon things of today. Music: 10000000/10 - The music is the best! The opera scene music is still great, and each of the game's final boss theme! Woo hoo! I could listen to it over and over and never get bored! (Playing in my head right now: FFIV (2 to us Americans) boss theme). I can not stress how great the music is and always will be. I can't think of any RPG that has better "cartridge" music (Chron... naaaah!)
Gameplay: 9.9/10 - Run Cecil, Run! The best enhancement ever in an RPG! FFV and VI now have fading battle intros. FFV uses the FF VII one, while FF VI does a "top and bottom door closing" kind of thing. When you are running away from battles, it does take forever (especially when you are escaping the floating continent!) That's about my only complaint about the whole game. Oh, and its an import and in japanese. A little drawback for some of us. Use this game as a japanese learning tool! My first word I learned was su-per-ba-l using a katakana chart. It was great.
Story: 10/10 - 3 classic stories, that would make excellent movies in thier own right. I'd watch them! Or books! I'd read them (I always wanted to write a book called FF II: Crusade of the Crystals)! The opening movies and ending movies also tell the greatness of the stories.
Overall: 10/10 - Buy it now, as it went waaay down in price! I paid $83 bucks for mine, now they sell it for about $55. Or wait and get the American one (but miss out on the best FF ever, FF IV (2 once again.)). Let's now hope that they bring out FF 1 through 3 in another collection with improved graphics.
